Synopsis

17-year-old Mandy Baker is a free spirit who's bored with her hometown of Paint Rock, Texas, and longs for a relationship with her long-gone natural father. When her mother remarries a steady, well-meaning older man, beautiful Mandy hits the road in search of her real father and a little excitement. But when she meets Rick Davis--handsome, well-meaning, but looking for easy money--Mandy gets more than she bargained for. In the hopes of impressing her father when she meets him, Mandy agrees to participate in a bank heist arranged by two second-rate criminal acquaintances of Rick's for a cut of the money. The robbery is successful, but Rick and Mandy end up with more than their share of the money. This leaves the pair on the run, and Mandy with some hard decisions to make.
