Synopsis
In a small harbor town on the Parana River around 1940, a new piano player arrives at The Olimpo, a brothel thinly disguised as a bar with musical entertainment. It's a shock when the newcomer turns out to be a woman, Funes. The narrator recalls Funes' impact on all of those who pass through The Olimpio--including the Italian gambler who won the brothel in a poker game during the stopover of his ship, local political strongmen and their bodyguards, and a very young whore whose silence seems heavy with secrets.
