Synopsis

Johnny and Eddie are a pair of bumbling Brooklyn ex-cons on an uneasy cross-country odyssey in search of true love and easy money. Always on the lookout for the next big scam, they take off in a '64 Ford to hook up with a former girlfriend turned sideshow performer and 'relieve' the carnival of a great deal of cash. Lacking a map and common sense, but secure in the knowledge that Nevada lies somehwere west of Jersey, the pair encounter mountains, go-go dancers, plasma donor centers and other natural phenomena along the way. Trapped in a long-distance drive, they dream about women and argue about con games. When they finally reach the outskirts of Vegas, they find that their longings for love and dreams of money have put them on a collision course.
