Synopsis

Liang Ching, a young actress, is plagued by a stranger who constantly calls her on the phone, but never utters a word and sends her faxes containing excerpts from her own diary. In the meantime, she is preparing for her new film, "Good Men, Good Women." It is the story of Chung Haotung and his wife Chiang Bi-Yu who were active in the anti-Japanese guerrilla underground during WWII, but were arrested for subversion when they returned to Taiwan. During rehearsals, Liang Ching's own memories, diligently recorded in her diary, interfere with the part she has to play.
