Synopsis

Brought up by his mother on a housing estate, Billy has drifted into petty crime and trouble with the law. He is given a last chance to change by being sent to live with his long absent father. After ten years, two strangers meet, father and son. Billy the listless, disaffected teenager and Hoggy, with his traditional working-class sense of honor, living a hardworking and simple life in the countryside are thrown together. Billy, against his better judgment, becomes involved in the life around him, and beneath the layer of streetwise kid there appears a young man whose relationship with his father undergoes a mutual reassessment.
