Synopsis
Set during the 1920s, two friends--a teacher at a military school and a vagabond--have a chance meeting in a seaside town where the former visits a geisha. Six months later, he visits his newly married friend, and, as a 78-rpm record of "Zigeunerweisen" plays on the phonograph, the teacher discovers the striking resemblance between the wife and the geisha.
