The art of painter Maud Morgan is documented. After graduating from Barnard College in 1926, Morgan went to Paris, where she met her future husband and began painting. Back in New York, Morgan studied with Hans Hoffman and began exhibiting her work, which was eventually included in joint exhibitions

She continued to paint into her eighties and nineties, received many honors, and wrote her autobiography when she was 92.
