Synopsis

As the heir to his uncle Henry Davidson's fortune, William Kissam Kellogg has never considered working, but when he breaks one of Henry's valuable vases, he realizes that he must pay for it, and so, calling himself Sam, he takes a job ferrying people around the Thousand Islands. Rosalind Chalmers is one of his first passengers, and she feels strongly drawn to him even though she is convinced that he is a burglar hiding out from the police. Then, while cruising around the islands, they sink after hitting a rock. When they make it to shore and William suggests that they take some dry clothes from a nearby mansion, Rosalind is sure that she is about to take part in a burglary. The house, however, belongs to Henry, and after meeting him, Rosalind finally realizes, to her relief, that the man she plans to marry will soon be independently wealthy instead of incarcerated.
