Synopsis

Even though he knows that the police are after him, "Phantom" Farrell makes plans for another big heist. Determined to steal Avice Bereton's necklace, he manages to get invited to her father James' high society party, but when he meets Avice, he falls in love with her and so decides to call off the robbery. The necklace is stolen anyway, however, by Dr. Ratcliffe, who has been blackmailing James' son Bertie. "Phantom" tracks down Ratcliffe, hands him over to the police, and personally returns the necklace to its grateful owner. Although his assistant chastises him for not stealing the necklace after catching Ratcliffe, "Phantom" is satisfied that, by having returned it, he now will be able to begin in earnest his romance with Avice.
