Synopsis
In August of each year, the majority of Athens' inhabitants depart the city, going back to their villages or fleeing to nearby seaside resorts. Only loners remain in Athens and those who prefer the city deserted. The heroes of the film fall into these categories. They search for company, for love, for communication. A female figure at a lighted window, an exchange of glances in an empty subway compartment, an unknown male voice on the telephone may trigger off a human relationship. No one knows how a chance meeting can turn out. What matters most is the need for contact... no matter what the cost.
