Synopsis
The film is a compilation of clips from the early talkies. Sequences include: Danny Kaye trying to get married by a deadline to avoid losing his inheritance; Bob Hope, in a grocery store, singing a duet with his girl; Bing Crosby attempting to elope and getting involved in a wild chase with a lion; Milton Berle singing a production number with chorus girls; Buster Keaton competing on Major Bowes' Amateur Hour and, in another excerpt, playing on a local baseball team; diapered Shirley Temple performing as a sultry nightclub singer; Imogene Coca as a prima ballerina; Bert Lahr, a floorwalker, trying to break into the movies; Harry Langdon hitchhiking by airplane; and the Ritz Brothers as irresponsible employees of a hotel.
