Synopsis

Paolo Martini, a lawyer investigating the disappearance of his teenaged daughter, Baby, learns from Baby's school friend Irene that Baby has been having an affair with an older married man and has apparently gone away with him. Martini goes on their trail, and Irene, interested in him, insists on accompanying him and attempts to seduce him into an affair with her. When they finally meet Carrei, the man with whom Baby was involved, they learn that she has left him for a boy her own age. Martini finds Baby in a hotel bed with her new lover, and, although he realizes it is too late to help her, he takes her from the hotel. He returns home and breaks his relationship with Irene only to realize that his younger daughter shows signs of following in Baby's footsteps.
