Synopsis
Naass, the sole survivor of an Alaskan sailing family, tells Klondike miner Cal Galbraith his life story: On the day of his wedding to Unga, the last member of a native tribe, she is abducted by Axel Gunderson. Naass follows Gunderson's ship to the seal hunting grounds, but there he is captured by Russians and sent to Siberia. After a period of forced labor, Naass is released, after which he resumes his search, only to discover that Unga and Gunderson are now happily married. Because Unga does not even recognize her former intended, Naass plans a cruel revenge. Using a map to the gold mines of Alaska as his lure, Naass convinces Unga and Gunderson to enter the Alaskan interior, where he steals their food and kills their dogs. He watches with pleasure as Gunderson starves to death then he reveals himself to Unga. To his surprise, Unga chastises Naass and refuses to leave the body of her husband. Naass then returns alone to civilization where he confides his odyssey to Cal.

Notes
According to papers in the Jack London collection scenes from the film were shot in Truckee, CA and in Seattle, WA, disputing the claim in some contemporary news items that scenes were shot in Alaska. Myrtle Stedman is credited with the female lead in some contemporary sources, but this is not supported by reviews. One modern source credits Joe Ray as a mountie in the film.
