Synopsis

Rich, idle Randolph Adams leaves his medical studies, but an incident with an injured child causes him to return to medicine and devote his life to a children's hospital. He marries Madge Richards, who is also loved by his friend Ned Hastings, and shortly thereafter he goes to war. Randy is reported killed, and in her bitterness his mother withdraws her support of the hospital. Ned asks Madge to marry him, and she is almost persuaded when Mrs. Adams is seriously injured in an accident. Then, Randy suddenly reappears, saves his mother's life with a "vibrameter," a machine of his own invention, and returns to his family and work.
