Synopsis

Hal Whitney, a young, foolish, yet lovable millionaire, likes his booze a bit too much. While drunk, he befriends Timothy Payne, once a gentleman, now a bum thanks to tipping his elbow too often. Hal "adopts" Timothy as his father, but Hal's sweetheart, Helen Maynard, believes that Timothy will be a bad influence. Timothy understands, and the friends part. Hal finds Timothy in a breadline in front of a rescue mission in which Helen is interested and takes him into his household despite Helen's objections. Timothy straightens Hal out; Hal regains Helen's affections; and Timothy marries Hal's mother, his former sweetheart.
