Synopsis
Stephen Martin takes the blame for the misappropriation of funds by Joe Grantwood, his half brother, to spare Mrs. Grantwood shame. While Steve wanders aimlessly around the world, Alice Farrell, his former sweetheart, marries Theodore Tennent, who dies after they have a son, Buddy. Steve returns, refuses a bribe offered by Joe, then is accused of Joe's murder. His trial is interrupted by Buddy, who reveals that Steve was rescuing Buddy from a fire at the time of the murder. A free man, Steve is reunited with Alice.
