Synopsis
Andy Hubbard, a hired hand on the Circle Bar Ranch, is fired by Condon, the owner, because of his inherent fear of horses, but he is hired by Pendleton, a neighboring rancher whose daughter, Anne, captures his fancy. Andy does not dare reveal his terror of horses when she urges him to ride, and her father assumes him to be a good rider. Condon fences off a spring used by both ranches when Pendleton refuses Condon's suit for the hand of Anne, and she suggests entering her horse in a prize race to pay for a well. Andy, deciding to hide the horse until after the race, learns that the ranch will be lost by default and admits his cowardice to Anne; but her love and encouragement spur him on to ride in and win the race, thereby saving the ranch.
