Synopsis

Lady Adrienne leaves Bombay, where her tyrannical husband is governor, to return to England, and on the boat she meets Andrew Fabian, who is studying to become a minister. Andrew persuades her to join his pilgrimage to the Holy Land. They fall in love, but Adrienne returns to her husband when she hears of his ill health and when a voice from a minaret urges the faithful to keep their vows. Later, in England, they meet again. A suspicious Lord Carlyle tricks them into confessing their love for each other, then suddenly dies, leaving the lovers to their happiness.
