Synopsis

Seymour White, vice president of the White Corset Co., an outmoded business, has never married because of a childhood sweetheart who jilted him 15 years before. On the same day that Fred Bond, John Wright, and Teddy, Wright's daughter, conspire to use advertising money to promote a new line of lingerie, Seymour is summoned to Atlantic City by his lost sweetheart, and a group of detectives are dispatched to track down Wright. Finding his erstwhile love grown fat and ugly, Seymour denies he is White and takes the name of Wright, thus misleading the detectives. Meanwhile, "Wright" and his daughter are successful with their new fashion designs. Seymour gets out of his engagement by disguising himself as a seedy oaf, and Henrietta, a lady detective, falls in love with him herself.
