Synopsis
Buckminster Fuller was dubbed by Marshall McLuhan as "The Leonardo da Vinci of our times." Architect, inventor, scientist, teacher and philosopher, he developed the concept of "synergy," invented the geodesic dome, and coined the phrase "Spaceship Earth." At the time of his death in 1983, Bucky, as he was known to young and old alike, was a culture hero and the best-known contemporary American thinker, widening our vision of man and nature and reshaping our view of the universe.
