Synopsis
Stella Mowbray, daughter of a wealthy and prestigious family owning extensive property in the slums, becomes a nurse in a slum hospital. Deeply affected by her experiences, Stella begins to write newspaper articles attacking slum conditions. By accident, Stella meets young rounder Ralph Miles, nurses him back to health when he falls ill, influences him to change his bachelor ways, and persuades him and her father to adopt humanitarian ideals.
