Synopsis
Explaining that he cannot stand watch over his own father, Dick Benton quits his job as prison guard so that he may find his mother and the man who framed his father (William Benton) into a life sentence. Dick doesn't take long to be reunited with his mother and to fall in love with Dorris, but his encounter with Wolf presents more trouble. Captured by Wolf, Dick and Dorris are sent in chains to labor in a gold mine; but Dick eventually manages an escape with the aid of an Indian chief, learns that Wolf is responsible for his father's imprisonment, and leads the culprit off to the authorities--thus freeing William for a reunion with his family.
