Synopsis

Mary and Geraldine Ames live with their Aunt Letitia, a man-hater, on a luxurious estate called "Eden." The only men allowed on the grounds are the chauffeur and the gardener, actually crooks who hope to rob the wealthy old woman. When Aunt Letitia intercepts a note from Mary's secret sweetheart, John Pierce, the girl is locked in her room. The outraged Geraldine, sent to New York to engage a servant, instead asks her friend, Police Commissioner Roger Burgess, to hire a reformed crook who will pose as the servant while helping Mary to escape with John. Paul Donaldson, Burgess' nephew, overhears Geraldine's odd request and, struck by her beauty, asks his uncle if he might masquerade as the crook. "With neatness and dispatch," Paul then frees Mary, captures the real crooks in the act of robbing Aunt Letitia's safe and wins Geraldine's heart.
