Synopsis

John Blaisdell, a stolid businessman married for 10 years, concludes that romantic love is a thing of the past for him. His wife, Helen, a very domestic and conservative woman, invites Jenny Lou, a young southern girl, as her houseguest, and the girl flirts with John; she is conspicuously unsuccessful until she pretends to faint on the golf course and the unsuspecting victim finds her in his arms. Local gossips inform Helen, she feigns ignorance of the matter, but later she insists that Jenny do the housework to prove her merits as a housewife, an arrangement to which Jenny reluctantly agrees. Meanwhile, Helen has her hair bobbed, buys a new wardrobe, and attracts Fairfax, Jenny's southern fiancé, provoking jealous reactions by both Jenny and John. Ultimately John realizes his wife's worth, and all ends happily.
