Synopsis
The beautiful Colette, nicknamed "The Wildcat" because of her fiery temper, reigns as the queen of the Paris underworld, much to the dismay of her rival, Cheron. When Colette and her lover, "The Toad," try to rob Jean Rovel's art studio, Jean captures the lively Apache and threatens to turn her over to the police unless she poses for him. Colette reluctantly consents, but the artist treats her so kindly, telling her the story of Joan of Arc, that she falls in love with him. Cheron sees Colette with Jean and reports to the other outlaws that she is posing in the nude, whereupon the Toad is elected to kill her. Colette escapes and returns to the Apache den just as Jean and a group of gendarmes arrive to upbraid the outlaws for refusing to fight the invading Germans. Inspired by Jean, Colette delivers a rousing speech and leads the Apaches into service at the front. There the Toad dies a hero while Colette saves a young girl from a brutal German officer and then returns to Jean.
