Dr. Kent incurs the emnity of his friend, District Attorney Maynard, when he warns Maynard about the misconduct of his daughter. While performing an operation to save the life of a nurse, Kent is unjustly accused of performing an illegal abortion and is discharged from the hospital. He then opens a maternity and birth control clinic, where he is approached by Dr. Paris, the head of the abortion ring. Kent pretends to work with Paris in order to collect evidence against the ring. Becoming suspicious of Kent, Paris decides to frame him. After sending a patient to Kent for "clean up," Paris tells Maynard that an illegal operation is in process at the clinic. When Maynard raids the clinic, he discovers that the patient is his own daughter, and becomes even more incensed at Ken. Paris is finally brought to justice by Mary Givens, a patient of his who turns against him. Realizing that Paris has ruined her life, Mary lures him into a car and then drives it over a cliff, killing Paris and herself.
