Synopsis

By dancing for the people, Twinkletoes, a child of the London Limehouse district, saves a crowd from abuse by the police, and she meets Chuck Lightfoot, a champion fighter whose wife, Cissie, started the brawl. Twink tries to resist loving Chuck, but when he saves her from an attack one night, her feelings are confirmed. At the head of the "Quayside Kids," Twink scores a success in a local music hall under the management of Roseleaf. Jealous Cissie, learning that Twink's dad is a burglar, exposes him to the police. At the pub where Twink goes in search of him she learns the truth about her father and faints--Roseleaf takes her to his apartment, but she manages to escape his clutches. Cissie is killed in an accident, and, in despair, Twink throws herself into the river. She is rescued by Chuck and in his arms finds something to live for.
