Synopsis

Robert Kincairn, son of Colonel Kincairn of the British Army, assumes guilt for a theft for which his fiancée is responsible; and renounced by his father, he joins the British forces in Palestine. While defending Zelie, a Greek dancer, from the unwelcome advances of El Rahib, a traitorous desert chieftain in the service of the British, Robert is in turn saved by Zelie, who revives his health. In the guise of a mute beggar, he enters El Rahib's camp and learns of his plans to attack the British; he is discovered and tortured, but he escapes and reveals El Rahib's treachery to his father. When the tribesmen are subdued, the colonel discloses that Enid has confessed her part in the theft, thus absolving Robert, who finds happiness with Zelie.
