Synopsis

Lady Andrea, consenting to a loveless marriage with Mark Hammer in order to preserve the ancestral estate of her impoverished family, journeys to South Africa, where her prospective husband owns a diamond mine. On the evening she is to be married, Andrea takes a walk along a deserted beach and meets an aviator, whom she begs to help her get away. He flies her to his camp in the jungle, and there they are stranded when he breaks his propeller during a rough landing. Lady Andrea falls in love with the aviator, who is known as "White Man" and worshipped by the natives as a god. She is later kidnaped by a renegade river thief who attempts to return her to Hammer. The aviator goes in pursuit and kills the river thief. Lady Andrea and the aviator return to London, and she consents to marry him when she discovers that he is an old and trusted friend of her brother.
