Synopsis
Driven into bankruptcy by his wife's extravagance, Herbert Pomeroy sends his young son, Frankie, to live with Henderson, a South Seas trader, and then kills himself. After 6 years of frantic searching for her child, Juanita Pomeroy gives up hope and embarks on a world cruise with wealthy Jules Lennox. Lennox's yacht lands on Henderson's island, and Juanita persuades Henderson to let her be Frankie's governess. Johnson, a destitute doctor, falls in love with Juanita, and Koki, Johnson's common-law native wife, vengefully persuades the witch doctor to sacrifice Frankie to propitiate the angry volcano when it errupts. Henderson saves mother and child, declaring his love for them both.
