Synopsis
Helen Frazer marries Harold Lawton to please her domineering grandmother. Harold does not break off his dalliance with chorus girl Letty Lorraine, however, and embezzles from Howard Hendricks' firm to support her luxurious taste. To protect her son, Helen enters into a financial agreement with Hendricks, a former--but still hopeful--suitor. A year later Lawton has squandered this money, and he kills Hendricks. Helen is found guilty of murder just as Lawton confesses and commits suicide, leaving Helen to find happiness with loyal Alfred Emerson.
