Synopsis

Episode One: A happily married woman is confronted with the reappearance of her first husband who she thought was dead. Just as he is demanding money in exchange for silence, a burglar shoots and kills him. The wife then takes the pistol as her husband enters the room and tells him that she shot a burglar. Episode Two: On "The Great White Way," a married man is keeping a vamp. When the man's wife threatens divorce proceedings, the vamp threatens to kill herself if he leaves her. As he steps out the door, he hears a shot. Rushing back into the apartment, he finds the woman apparently dead. At that moment, the vamp's husband appears and demands hush money, which the man pays and then departs. Just as the vamp and her pretend husband prepare for a getaway, the man reappears, reveals himself as a detective and places the schemers under arrest. Episode three: A tempestuous girl marries the pure-hearted son of a paralytic, but growing bored with her husband, the girl becomes wildly attracted to a fugitive gangster whom she hides in the attic. The paralytic, a mute, conveys to his son that his wife is betraying him. As he mounts the stairs, the son is shot and killed by the gangster. When the detectives arrive, the gangster and the girl are killed while attempting to escape.
