Synopsis
Harvey Martin and Helen Williams are in love and want to be married, but Helen's mother disapproves of Harvey and opposes the marriage. Larry Simons, Harvey's rival for Helen's affections, tries to discredit Harvey, and Harvey gets the better of him in a fight. Dorothy Willis, fleeing from her husband with her baby, takes refuge in Harvey's ranchhouse during his absence. She is discovered there by Mrs. Williams, who charges Harvey with intentions of becoming a bigamist. As Helen and her mother are about to leave, two thugs hired by Robert Willis, Dorothy's estranged husband, break into the house and demand the baby. Harvey fights them off while the three women attempt to escape. Dorothy is apprehended by her irate husband outside the house, and the estranged pair fight savagely for possession of the baby. This brutal action angers Mrs. Williams, and she berates Dorothy and Robert for their stupidity. Brought to their senses Dorothy and Robert are reconciled; and Mrs. Williams, impressed by Harvey's honesty and resolve, decides to allow him to marry Helen.
