Synopsis

Wealthy Marjorie Stockton marries Monte Covington in order to protect herself from several overeager suitors. Monte treats the marriage lightly, but Marjorie quickly falls in love with her new husband. Peter Noyes, a sometime pursuer of Marjorie, is blinded, and Marjorie takes pity on him. Monte mistakes Marjorie's treatment of Peter for love and decides to leave her. Marjorie quickly declares her love for Monte, however, and Peter, who has also mistaken her affection for love, shoots them both in a jealous rage. Their wounds are fortunately slight, and Marjorie and Monte look forward to the future with confidence and love in their hearts.
