Synopsis
Following his marriage to Rose Kendall, Bruce Morrison is notified that his father is ill and is advised not to inform him of his marriage because the father has selected Jane Penfield to be his son's bride. Murray Penfield learns about Rose, demands money to keep the secret, and turns her against her husband in his sister's interest. Rose returns to her mother, and Penfield arranges a divorce for Bruce, who then marries Jane. Rose and Jane both become mothers, but Jane's baby dies and the family physician substitutes Rose's baby for the dead child. Bruce gradually becomes disillusioned with Jane, who neglects her home for social aspirations, and when Rose calls to see her child Bruce learns the truth and wins Rose back.
