Synopsis

Roger Stone creates a boys club to provide an outlet for Center City's troubled youth. When Spike, a local boy, hides in the club because he has stolen an apple and was seen by a police officer, Roger convinces Spike to join the club. In time, Spike improves himself under Roger's influence and joins the rest of the boys when they go on a camping trip to the mountains. They are visited at their campsite by Deputy Sheriff McLain, who shows them photographs of two escaped convicts and warns that they may be nearby. One of the killers is found dead by the boys's dog "Blitz," having been murdered by his partner, Angus. When Angus stumbles into the campsite and sees his own photograph, he knocks out Roger and kidnaps Spike, hoping to escape through a mountain pass. After Roger recovers, he leads a rescue team with the other boys and they successfully capture Angus and save Spike. After Angus is arrested, Spike uses most of the reward money to repay those who were harmed by his earlier misdeeds, and uses the rest to buy paint for the clubhouse.
