Synopsis

Mary Sullivan, age 17, and Bobby, her little brother, who are both dependent upon their elder brother, Dave, are sent to an orphanage when Dave--though innocent--is convicted of transporting illicit liquor and sentenced to prison. As they are housed in separate buildings, Mary disguises herself in boy's clothing in an effort to see Bobby, but she is discovered by the matron and taken to the superintendent. Touched by Mary's story, director Arthur Graham, a wealthy young philanthropist, adopts the two orphans; and they find happiness together. Owing to the insinuations of Mrs. Randolph, Mary and Bobby run away, and Graham is unable to find them. Mary achieves prominence as a tennis player, and Graham is reunited with her at a match with Madame Le Fleur. Overruling her objections, he plans a speedy wedding, and as a wedding gift he uses his influence to obtain Dave's freedom.
