Synopsis
Sheila Dorne marries rancher Jim Russell when he assures her that he will never interfere with her literary career. The success of Sheila's novel and its subsequent dramatization take her to New York and new friends, including Rudolph Martin. Jim unhappily throws himself into the construction of a large dam, which is completed just as Sheila comes home accompanied by Rudolph. The dam breaks, and Jim, assuming Sheila loves Rudolph, rescues him. It becomes obvious, however, that Sheila prefers her husband.
