Synopsis
Shopgirl Hilda O'Shaunnessey accepts an expensive gift from her employer and pawns it to raise money to send her crippled brother to a hospital, then decides to commit suicide. Emery Gray, a neighbor, prevents her and exposes her employer, Gregory Stearns, as the one who stole his wife. Hilda and Emery marry; the brother is cured; and the affair ends happily.
