Synopsis

Unhappy millionaire Robert Broadley finds that his wife, Annabel, has no time left over from her social obligations to spend with him. At the urging of his friend, Dana Stuart, Robert puts all of his money in safekeeping with Stuart and declares himself bankrupt. He moves with Annabel to the Lower East Side and, with her love and encouragement, finds work first as a janitor and later as a clerk in a delicatessen. Stuart converts all of Broadley's money into negotiable securities and goes to Annabel, begging her to leave with him immediately for Europe. Annabel pretends to agree, leaving word for Robert where he can find her. Aboard ship, Annabel gains possession of the securities, and she and Robert prepare to go to Europe on their second honeymoon.
