Synopsis
Jack Warren, the substitute engineer on a small railroad, falls in love with Nora Lane, the daughter of the engineer of the Phantom Express. The elder Lane takes the express for a trial run, and Rufus Hardy, one of Nora's rejected suitors, deliberately throws the wrong switch, wrecking the train. Nora's father temporarily loses both his mind and his job. Jack takes over as engineer on the express, and Nora's father, recovered from his mental illness, prevents Hardy from again wrecking the train. The elder Lane gets his job back, Hardy is subjected to legal action, and Jack is promoted. Jack and Nora are married.
