Synopsis
Aware that Harry Kellar and his men have rustled cattle from rancher Devine's range, Sheriff Tom Hall tries to follow them. On a hunch, Tom later rides to Silent Valley with two deputies and there finds Fred Jones, whose sister Helen is Tom's sweetheart, branding rustled cattle with Harry and his gang. As Tom stumbles across the branches hiding the rustlers' trail, Kellar shoots Andy, one of the deputies. Tom sees the other rustlers racing away and later tries to warn Helen that Fred is keeping bad company, but she asks him to leave. At the San Domingo saloon, Frank Harley, the proprietor and town mayor, is visited by Pete Childers, a gunslinger and rustler. Harley then meets with Devine and another rancher to discuss firing Tom as sheriff because of his failure to capture the rustlers. Harley then orders Tom to hire Pete as his new deputy. Fred, meanwhile, tries to to quit Harley's gang but is reminded that he is deeply in debt to Harley for gambling losses and that the rustled cattle are on his ranch. After Andy revives and identifies Kellar as his attacker, Kellar takes refuge at the Jones ranch. Tom warns Fred and Helen that a shootout will occur, and they leave Kellar in the house. When he runs out of ammunition, Kellar surrenders but is killed by Pete. Tom is dismayed at the treachery and fights with Pete, taking away his badge. Fred tells Bill, Kellar's brother, that Kellar was killed by Pete, but Devine turns Bill's anger against Tom for having hired Pete, a known gunslinger. Devine then has Fred followed by one of his men, who overhears Fred tell Helen to warn Tom and bring men to a shack, where Fred is later taken prisoner. After Tom chases and fights with Bill for having stolen cattle, Bill is handcuffed. Harley, meanwhile, sends Helen a note telling her that Fred has been hurt and asking her to come at once. Tom later finds the note and sends for a posse. Before they arrive at the shack, Tom is caught by Pete, who demands he resign in his favor. Tom, however, fights Pete and two henchmen and eventually bests them. After the posse arrives, Fred declares his intention to reveal all about Harley.

According to a press release, this film was copyrighted, but the title was not found in copyright records. According to modern sources, the cast included Jimmie Aubrey, Frank Ellis and George Chesebro. The film was re-released under the title Western Justice, but is unrelated to the 1935 Commodore Western called Western Justice (see below).
