Synopsis
To atone for a series of wild escapades, young Stanley Gilmore, son of a railroad president, travels to Tennessee to promote the right-of-way for his father's company. With his dog, Thunder, he calls on Dave Wade, who has resisted the encroachments of the railroad, and encounters Patsy, Wade's daughter, with whom he becomes friendly. Stanley's arrival is noted by Joe Sneed, a moonshining henchman of Bill Garton, an engineer for a rival railroad company; and attempting to steal some papers from Stanley, Sneed is chased by the dog, which he reports to the sheriff. Thunder rescues Little Bud Wade from a bear and is thereby saved from Sneed and the sheriff. When Stanley wires his father to come and complete the deal with Wade, he is kidnaped; but Thunder rescues him, flags down a train, and drives the villains to their death. Stanley finds happiness with Patsy, and his father acquires the right-of-way.
