Synopsis

Billy Gibson, the irresponsible son of Mose Gibson, a cattle rancher, plays a joke on his father and is banished to a remote outpost for the winter. There he is accompanied by Deefy, an eccentric who affects loss of hearing. When Bill finds a herd of sheep grazing on their land, he rides a chuckwagon to issue a warning and meets Patricia Farris, whose estate has been swindled from her; she rejects him when he forces a kiss. Bill returns to his father's ranch to find he has been charged with illegal land registration and fencing; he finds papers implicating Miller and Schuler in framing his father. A confrontation follows between sheepmen and cattlemen, and Bill finds happiness with Patricia.
