Synopsis

Westerner Sam Brockton sells his ranch and moves to the city, but can find nothing comparable to the frontier until he meets heiress Agnes Darling. Their romance falters, however, when con man "Dippy" Lewis decides to take advantage of his uncanny resemblance to Sam and calls on Agnes, who has arranged an afternoon of horseback riding. When "Dippy" can barely mount up, Agnes begins to wonder about his background as a cowboy, and then, later, she questions the purifying effects of growing up on the range when she overhears the real Sam talking to some crooks who mistake him for "Dippy." They tell the bewildered cowboy about splitting stolen goods among them, but finally, all of the cases of mistaken identity are straightened out when the cowboy and the con man meet for a fight and the winner, Sam, later explains everything to Agnes.
