The Strange Rider
Film Details
Synopsis
Jim Weston saves Mary Drake's life and gets a job on her father's ranch, where he soon becomes well liked for his quick humor and hard riding. Some of Drake's cattle are stolen, and Hank Bennett, foreman of the ranch, accuses Jim. Mary then challenges Jim to prove his innocence, and he rides after the rustlers, capturing three of them. Tying up his prisoners, Jim rides on and finds a shack, which he suspects is the hideout of the gang. Mary, who has followed Jim, appears and tells him of her pride in him. He hears men coming, and she hides behind some barrels. Jim then meets Slavin, the leader of the gang, and beats him in a fight, later capturing two more of his men. Drake arrives, and Jim, who has cleared himself of all suspicion of crime, flashes a badge and reveals himself to be a lawman.
