Synopsis

A drama in three parts. END OF THE PATH--Bob is picked up by Jackie while he is walking along a California highway. They are attracted to each other, and she takes him to a deserted lake. There he mentally relives a traumatic experience in which as a child he was forced by a sadistic homosexual to commit a perverted act. Jackie calms him and takes him to her home. That night Bob has a nightmare about being assaulted when a teenager by a nymphomaniac. He awakes and goes to the swimming pool. There Jackie's mother, who has been watching Bob, attempts to seduce him. He forces her to her knees and strangles her. Tried and convicted of murder, Bob is put into a prison cell with a sex-starved criminal. HOMO MEANS MAN--George goes to a notorious bar, rejects the advances of a woman, and makes the acquaintance of a handsome, blonde man. They leave together, intending to return to George's apartment. On a back road, George's companion beats him up and steals his money and his car. George is picked up by Ann, a woman from the bar who takes him to her apartment. George resists her sexual advances and explains to her that before his marriage he had been involved in homosexual relationships. He tells Ann about his estranged wife and his inability to confess to her his past involvements. After the birth of their first child, George and his wife separated and he returned to perversion. Having unburdened himself, George falls asleep, and Ann telephones his wife, who takes him home and gives him love and understanding. SEGUE--Newly-arrived in Los Angeles, Yvonne, alone and out of work, finds a job as a fashion model and attracts the attention of Anita, a department head. Yvonne tells Anita of her fear of men, and Anita schemes to gain Yvonne's affection. Anita tells the company photographer, a lecherous man, that Yvonne is "on the make," thus provoking him to attack her. Hysterical, Yvonne, reminded of an event in which she was raped in the back seat of a car, is propelled into the waiting arms of Anita.
