Synopsis
Nathan Holden, the top hand on the Lazy-A Ranch, is engaged to Marjorie Stone, the rancher's beautiful daughter. One day, Bob Stone, Marjorie's brother, shows up at the ranch, badly injured and confused by a blow on the head. Nathan hides Bob, who is dressed as a convict, from the sheriff. A stranger named Ramsey then arrives at the ranch and asks for a meal. Ramsey proceeds to steal $3,000 and lays the blame on Nathan, who cannot clear himself of suspicion because Ramsey knows of Bob's presence and threatens to tell the sheriff. Nathan is arrested by the sheriff, and Ramsey rides away; but Nathan has a hunch, escapes, and brings Ramsey to the sheriff for interrogation. Nathan reveals that Ramsey is the escaped convict, responsible for hitting Bob on the head and changing clothes with him. Ramsey is arrested, and Nathan and Marjorie win the affection of the elder Stone for saving Bob.
