Synopsis

Although he is innocent, gambler Boston Harry is scheduled to be hanged by vigilantes for the murder of Jim Beckworth. Boston's friend, cowboy Steve Kendall, rescues him, even though they are both in love with Juanita, a half-Mexican woman, who transfers her allegiance to whoever has the most money. After the rescue, both Steve and Boston rush to Juanita's, where they quarrel over her. While they fight, Nikkos, another of Juanita's admirers, steals their money and locks the two friends in a closet. They escape, however, just before the posse arrives. Steve and Boston meet again in Poker City, where Steve becomes attracted to Sally Warren, only to learn that Boston has met her first. Boston recognizes Sally's brother Bud as the man who murdered Beckworth, but says nothing in order to spare Sally's feelings. After Nikkos and Bud stage a holdup, Steve and Boston are accused of the crime when a woman recognizes a necklace that Boston gave Sally as the one that was stolen from her during the robbery. Although Boston insists that he bought the necklace from Nikkos, Nikkos swears that he was with Bud during the robbery and Sally corroborates their alibi. Later, with Sally's help, Steve and Boston escape from jail just ahead of a lynch mob. During the ensuing shootout, Bud tries to confess, but Nikkos shoots him. Before he dies, however, Bud reveals his crimes, clearing Steve and Boston. Steve comforts Sally and, when Boston realizes that she loves the other man, he steps aside, but the three remain friends.
