Synopsis

Upon returning from the battlefields of France, Kurt Dorn proposes marriage to Lenore Anderson and she accepts. After settling down to harvesting the wheat fields, Dorn is summoned to lead a vigilante group known as "the riders of the dawn" against a band of radicals intent on creating labor upheavals. Dorn is so effective that he becomes a marked man and thus incurs the hatred of the radicals' secret leader, Henry Neuman, also a disappointed suitor of Lenore. Neuman hires a French girl to appear and claim that she is Dorn's wife, thus discrediting him in the eyes of the community. When the radicals' murderous activities result in the death of Lenore's younger sister, Dorn is so embittered that he enters their camp alone, kills the murderer in hand-to-hand combat and holds his ground until the riders of the dawn arrive to round up the radicals. Once Dorn's name is cleared, he and Lenore face a peaceful future together.
